About the Foundation

The Mariner Sands Foundation was established by residents of Mariner Sands to provide community and financial help to employees of Mariner Sands and their families. Through interest-free loans and grants, we address needs such as medical and dental care, shelter and transportation, and education. Our mission is to support the dedicated employees who contribute so much to our community. To date, we are proud to state that since our inception, the Foundation has provided over $1.3 million in aid to employees.

Leadership Support

I have been honored to serve the Foundation for over 15 years. We live in a special, caring community. Every day our living experience here is enhanced by our employees. Our mission is to help them in their times of need. We call it “taking care of our own.” Our vital work is made possible by our community volunteers. They are the keystone of our mission and I thank them for their dedicated work.

The Mariner Sands Foundation provides various types of support to our employees and their families:

Health Issues: Covering medical expenses for employees facing serious illnesses or injuries, including surgeries and long-term treatments.

Home Repairs: Funding necessary repairs for employees’ homes, such as fixing roofs, plumbing issues, or damage from natural disasters.

Legal Aid: Providing financial support for legal services and helping employees navigate legal challenges.

Education: Offering scholarships and financial aid for employees and their children to pursue higher education or vocational training.

Emergency Assistance: Offering immediate financial help in cases of unexpected crises, such as family emergencies or sudden loss of income.
